Adult Learn To Row

2018 Summer Learn-To-Row – Starting June 18, 2018

Summer Learn-To-Row Camp offers an inexpensive, intensive beginner camp with the added opportunity of joining the team at the end of the camp. RRC partners with Rochester Community Education to offer these camps.  You can sign up through our website or Community Ed’s, but do not register through both.  Additional questions should be directed to Coach.

Athletes (age 18+) new to rowing are introduced to rowing in our learn-to-row program.  Time will be spent on rowing machines and on the water in rowing shells. You will learn valuable skills such as teamwork, fitness conditioning, and safety on the water. Once the rower completes the learn-to-row program, they are eligible to join the Adult Team. The learn to row program is coached by high-level coaches who make learning to row easy and fun.  No experience is necessary.

M-Thurs | June 18-21 and June 25-28 | 6:00pm-8:00pm | Rochester Rowing Club | 6 Sessions | $150

Participants choose six days to attend out of the eight days Learn-To-Row is offered.  However, it is strongly encouraged that you attend one of the first two days to go over the basics.  The classes take place from 6:00 to 8:o0 pm Monday through Thursday at the Rochester Rowing Club boathouse (710 West Silver Lake Drive — behind the old Silver Lake Fire Station). Please wear workout clothing (nothing baggy), wear socks (shoes will not be used), a hat, sunglasses and plenty of water in an unbreakable container.  Bathrooms are located at the site, but there are no shower facilities. Classes meet rain or shine, however if there is lightning the class will be held in an indoor location.
