Ellen E. Huston’s primary background is in the performing arts. She has extensive experience on both the artistic and administrative sides of several non-profit organizations. She brings board and administrative knowledge to Rochester Rowing Club. Ellen’s son Cooper was a member of RRC from 2012-2016.
Becca has been involved with RRCMN since participating in an Adult Learn-To-Row in 2014. She became active on the board because I enjoy the many benefits of the sport and want to keep rowing available for all adults in the community. I bring 14 years of board experience RRCMN.
Jill Dowdy has been a medical librarian for the past 18 years. During college she had the opportunity to compete at the Division I level and is now enjoying watching her daughter learn to row. Jill brings previous board experience and an enthusiasm for the sport to the Rochester Rowing Club.
A founding member, Phil served as RRC President for 22 years from 1993-2015. Phil hails from Philadelphia originally, rowing at St. Joe's Prep and then St Joe's College, captaining winning teams at both and also rowed with Vesper Boat Club in the 60's. He is one of four oarsmen recently selected to the St. Joe's College Athletic Hall of Fame. Phil rowed and coached at RRC, being most proud of starting and helping grow the RRC Juniors. A recently retired Mayo Clinic physician, he moved to the Gulf Coast in southwest Florida where he continues his interest in rowing and his friendship with RRC.
