Becca has been involved with RRC since participating in the Adult Learn To Row in 2014. She became active on the board because she enjoys the many benefits of the sport and wants rowing to be available for all adults in the community. Becca brings 14 years of board experience to RRC.
Jill Dowdy has been a medical librarian for the past 18 years. During college she had the opportunity to compete at the Division I level and is now enjoying watching her daughter learn to row. Jill brings previous board experience and an enthusiasm for the sport to the Rochester Rowing Club.
Ellen E. Huston’s primary background is in the performing arts. She has extensive experience on both the artistic and administrative sides of several non-profit organizations. She brings board and administrative knowledge to Rochester Rowing Club. Ellen’s son Cooper was a member of RRC from 2012-2016.
A founding member, Phil served as RRC President from 1993-2015. Phil rowed at St. Joe's Prep and St Joe's College in Philadelphia, captaining winning teams at both. He also rowed with Vesper Boat Club in the 60's. He was recently selected to the St. Joe's College Athletic Hall of Fame. Phil rowed and coached at RRC, being most proud of starting and helping grow the RRC Juniors. A recently retired Mayo Clinic physician, he moved to southwest Florida where he continues his interest in rowing and his friendship with RRC.
