On a Saturday, April 29th, the Rochester Rowing Club travels, by coach bus, to the Quad Cities for a scrimmage with Y Quad Cities Rowing. All high school and middle school rowers will be attending this scrimmage.
All high school rowers will attend the Indy High School Sprints. We leave on Saturday, May 6th via coach bus; compete on Sunday, May 7th and return home at the conclusion of the regatta — late night arrival home.
This is RRC’s championship race, and is the highlight of the winter and spring competitive season! It is a two-day regatta sponsored by the Midwest Junior Rowing Association. It is the regional qualifier for the US Rowing Youth National Championships. All high school participants in the Spring program are eligible and highly encouraged to compete. Athletes: Please talk with Coach Little about your interest and availability for this season highlight regatta.
The cost to participate is approximately $575. Regatta fee includes transportation (coach bus) rower entry fee, trailer cost to move boats to Cincinnati, four nights lodging for rowers and coaches and most food from departure to return (bring money for snacks and two meals on the road).
We leave after school on Thursday, May 18th and return the afternoon of Monday, May 22nd.
